Reading is Fundamental, So is Math

Mathematics is deemed as one of the most difficult subject areas for children and adults. It tends to be discarded by people as they get older and seen as an area that is not really important in one’s career. However, math is a fundamental learning aspect of children’s early learning development. To think mathematically is actually synonymous with using language. It is the foundation of children’s sense of quantity, pattern recognition, spatial sense, problem solving, critical thinking skills, and more.

It is important to support a child’s mathematical thinking and skills development with a growth mindset.
