Dr. Orabuchi served as a wonderful mentor teacher to me during my student teaching experience. She was always encouraging and supportive, being patient while answering questions and guiding me. Being able to observe her with students helped me learn the same skills that I am now able to use in my own classroom. Students respond well to her, and felt comfortable in her classroom.

I taught with Dr. Fluker for several years. She has the unique ability to reach and motivate some of our hardest to reach students. I am amazed with her wide range of teaching strategies. The students sing her math songs for years after having her in class.

Dr. Fluker is the definition of a servant leader! Her compassion, knowledge, and vibrant disposition relates to and engages students and teachers on a whole different level. It’s an honor to have worked alongside such an amazing educator.

I worked with Ms. Orabuchi-Fluker for about 10 years in Denton, Texas. She is the most dedicated department head that I have worked with before. Not only does she have excellent leadership skills, but also a tremendous passion for helping our kids to reach their highest potential in math. She was great at teaching math, provided an ear to listen to her students and help them as much as possible. She led by example and was an excellent role model because she took the time to help her students not only when they were in her class, but also when they were gone.

Mrs. Nkechi Fluker is an innovative, motivating, and caring educator who is always willing to meet students where they are at. She inspires a love of mathematics through encouragement and perseverance. She is a continuous learner who uses her faith and education to make positive connections with her students. I really enjoyed working with her and appreciate her hard work, leadership, organization, and her motivation to be the best teacher she could be.

Dr. Orabuchi and I worked together for a number of years. She was an outstanding colleague and lent the utmost in professional leadership to our team. Dr. Orabuchi had great attention to detail and her work was always student-based and standards-driven.

Mrs. Fluker was my daughter’s 6th grade math teacher. She was an amazing teacher and my daughter just loved her. She was understanding to the students and she would push them to do their best. When she left, Mrs. Fluker was still willing to tutor the students and assist them with any help they needed in going on to the next grade. Mrs. Fluker is a humble, great spirit, and loving teacher to all her students.
