Parents as Educational Facilitators

As we enter the last few months to complete the first year of a virtual learning environment for many, we must reflect honestly in preparation for the next school year. Was virtual learning successful? How? Were students engaged? Were students consistently in attendance? What are the trends pertaining to learning gaps across with the various factors involved? How were parents involved? Was there adequate support for families in the virtual setting? What changes need to be made? How can virtual learning environments be made as the successful standard?

So many more questions to ask! However, one of the main questions that needs to be asked and then addressed step by step is, how are parents being included in the development process so they have an active role in their child’s education in a virtual setting?

Let’s start this dialogue and come up with solutions!
