Today’s online learning resource spotlight is Brainingcamp. This is an online digital math manipulative resource. I had the wonderful opportunity to speak to Mr. Harris and he allowed me to use his program for my doctoral research back in 2012-2013. You can check out my dissertation research to see how it was used.
This is a really great online learning resource for students learning abstract math concepts to be able to have a visual, interactive, and tactile learning experience. Although it is for a fee, they do offer a free trial of 30 days. They also have short videos to show you how it works.
I truly enjoyed using this online learning resource when I was teaching 6th grade math. My students enjoyed it too! It’s a good tool for scaffolding, group centers, individual concept practice, or as a supplemental teaching tool.
